Registered Manager – Residential Family Assessment Centre

We are seeking a highly motivated Registered Manager to lead our Residential Family Assessment Centre in Bradford, West Yorkshire. This full-time, permanent role offers a salary of £50,000 - £60,000.

Role Overview: You will be responsible for the daily operations of the centre, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and the National Minimum Standards. You will provide strong leadership, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and maintain a safe, nurturing environment for families undergoing assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Management: Oversee operational management and strategic direction, lead staff, and ensure regulatory compliance.
2. Family Assessment & Safeguarding: Manage family assessments and safeguard practices within the centre.
3. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure the centre adheres to the Statement of Purpose, prepare for Ofsted inspections, and maintain accurate records.
4. Staff Management: Recruit, induct, supervise, and appraise staff, ensuring a positive working environment.
5. Partnership Building: Develop relationships with local authorities, courts, and health services, representing the centre as needed.

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:

• Registered Social Worker
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete)
• At least 2 years' experience working with vulnerable families or children in a residential or assessment setting
• Minimum 1 year in a supervisory or management role
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and risk management
• Understanding of Family Court processes and residential assessments
• Familiarity with Ofsted regulations and standards
• Excellent communication, leadership, and report-writing skills
• Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team under pressure
• Clear enhanced DBS check and right to work in the UK

Desirable:

• Experience within a Family Assessment Centre
• Knowledge of assessment tools like Parent Asses, PAMS, etc.
• Experience managing an Ofsted-regulated setting
