Job summary

The Cambian Group is seeking a Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential home in Wigan as part of the Embrace services. You will develop tailored care plans, lead a team, and ensure high-quality care in partnership with families and professionals.

Responsibilities include budget-aligned management, safeguarding, and continuous development through the Leadership Academy. Strong leadership with regulatory knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Essential Requirements: Passionate about making a difference for children in care.
• At least 2 years in residential care for children, with ≥1 year in a supervisory role in the last 5 years.
• Level 3 in Children's Residential Care is essential.
• Level 5 Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare is preferred; if not, enrolled within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive care plans addressing education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic and health needs.
• Build and retain a strong team with recruitment support and development plans.
• Consult young people about the care they receive.
• Allocate Key Workers to implement care plans and maintain high standards.
• Maintain high standards aligned with quality standards and the Home’s Purpose.
• Handle complaints and child protection concerns.
• Collaborate with parents, carers and professionals to promote welfare.
• Attend care planning and review meetings and contribute as appropriate.
• Foster a safe culture and manage home to align with budget expectations.
