Job summary

Cambian Group plc in Shrewsbury is seeking a Registered Manager to lead our two-bed children’s residential home. You will develop personalised care plans, build a high-performing team and ensure safeguarding, regulatory compliance and excellent outcomes for young people.

We offer an entry salary up to £50,000 per annum DOE, bonus schemes, a comprehensive induction and ongoing leadership development through our in-house Academy, plus wellbeing and staff benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in residential care of children, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or willingness to start within 6 months.
• Understanding of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation, and regulatory requirements.
• Skills in planning, organizing, budget control, resource allocation and team leadership.
• Excellent communication in spoken and written form.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop Comprehensive Care Plans addressing education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic and health needs.
• Build and lead a strong team, ensuring induction and personal development plans.
• Foster consultation with young people about their care.
• Assign Key Workers to implement care plans.
• Maintain high standards in line with quality standards and the Home’s SOP.
• Handle complaints and child protection concerns responsibly.
• Collaborate with parents, carers and other professionals to promote welfare.
• Attend care planning and review meetings as appropriate.
• Promote a safe culture and ensure best possible care.
