Job summary

Cambian is seeking a Registered Manager in Widnes for its Embrace service, leading a children’s home with a focus on holistic, individualized care. You will ensure safe, supportive environments and drive continued Ofsted standards of Good or better.

The role requires leadership experience in residential care, a Level 3 qualification, and driving license. You will shape care plans, manage a team, and work with families and professionals to promote welfare.

Qualifications

• Passionate about making a difference in the lives of children in care.
• At least 2 years in residential care with at least 1 year in a supervisory role in the last 5 years.
• Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care is essential; Level 5 preferred or enrolled within 6 months.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive care plans addressing education, social, emotional, and health needs.
• Build and retain a strong team, supporting recruitment and induction.
• Consult with young people about their care and involve them in plans.
• Allocate Key Workers to implement care plans for each child.
• Maintain high standards aligned with quality standards and the Home’s purpose.
• Handle complaints and safeguarding concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with parents, carers and professionals to support welfare.
• Attend care planning and review meetings as required.
• Foster a safe culture and manage budget in line with expectations.
