Job summary

Cambian is seeking a Registered Manager for a four-bedroom children's home in Tadcaster, part of its CSE services. You will lead care planning, staffing, and regulatory compliance to deliver high-quality support for young people.

The role involves developing tailored care plans, building a strong team, consulting with young people, and working with families and professionals. Training and digital care records support are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in residential care of children with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
• Level 3 in Children's Residential Care is essential; Level 5 preferred or enrolled within 6 months of starting.
• Understanding of The Quality Standards, SCCIF, childcare legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Strong planning, budgeting, and team leadership skills.
• Excellent spoken and written communication; trauma-informed care knowledge.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each young person’s needs.
• Develop a great team by supporting recruitment, induction, and development plans.
• Foster consultation with young people about their care.
• Allocate Key Workers to implement care plans.
• Maintain high standards aligned with quality standards and the Home’s SOP.
• Handle complaints and child protection concerns.
• Collaborate with parents, carers and professionals to promote welfare.
• Attend care planning and review meetings.
• Embrace a safe culture across the service.
• Use electronic care recording system daily; training provided (Clearcare is an advantage).
