About the Opportunity
We are recruiting an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to lead a 3-bed children's home in Liverpool, specialising in supporting young people with Learning Disabilities (LD). This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable children, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment. As the Registered Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the home's operations, ensure compliance with Ofsted standards, and inspire a dedicated team to deliver outstanding care.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of a 3-bed children's home, providing high-quality care for young people with Learning Disabilities.
Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding policies, and relevant legislation.
Develop and implement tailored care plans to support the individual needs, development, and well-being of residents.
Lead, mentor, and support a team of care staff, fostering a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture.
Manage budgets, staffing rotas, and resources to ensure the smooth running of the home.
Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including local authorities, families, and healthcare professionals.
Drive continuous improvement in care standards to meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports for Ofsted inspections and audits.
Candidate Requirements
Essential : Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
Essential : Proven experience as a Registered Manager in a children's residential setting, ideally with expertise in Learning Disabilities.
Essential : Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
In-depth understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and best practices in children's residential care.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with young people, staff, and external partners.
A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to supporting children with complex needs.
Ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally.
