RJS Resourcing Ltd is working with a children's residential care provider to appoint a passionate Registered Manager to lead a brand-new home in Stoke-on-Trent.

This role involves overseeing the registration process, recruiting and developing a dedicated staff team, and creating a safe, therapeutic environment for young people while ensuring safeguarding and Ofsted compliance.

This is a high-visibility opportunity with direct support from Directors and potential for service growth.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience in children's residential care.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and Ofsted requirements.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
• Experience supporting young people with EBD advantageous.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to establish and develop a new residential service.
• Passion for delivering high-quality, child-centred care.

RJS Resourcing is working with a children's residential care provider looking to appoint a passionate and capable Registered Manager to lead a brand-new home in Stoke-on-Trent.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in establishing a new service, working closely with the Directors to progress the home's registration, recruit and develop the staff team and create a positive, therapeutic environment for young people.

The Role

You will take responsibility for preparing the home for registration before overseeing its day-to-day operation and ongoing development.

• Leading the registration process alongside the Directors.
• Recruiting, supporting and developing a dedicated residential care team.

• Ensuring compliance with Ofsted requirements, safeguarding legislation and the Children's Homes Regulations 2015.

• Maintaining high standards of quality assurance and inspection readiness.

Key Requirements

• Previous management experience within children's residential care, either as a Registered Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted requirements and the Children's Homes Quality Standards.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or a relevant equivalent, desirable.
• Previous experience supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) would be highly advantageous.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• The confidence to establish and develop a new residential service.
• A genuine passion for delivering high-quality, child-centred care.
