Job summary

Health Recruit Network in Bristol is seeking a Registered Manager to lead a large domiciliary and complex care service. You will oversee ~1,500 care hours weekly and manage 40+ carers, ensuring top quality and regulatory compliance.

The role demands clinical mindset, strong leadership, and drive for service growth, including ICB contracts. Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:00, with a full UK driving licence preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Registered Manager or strong step-up candidate.
• Background in complex care, nursing, palliative care, mental health, or domiciliary care.
• Experience across LD, mental health, and complex needs.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care attained or in progress.
• Full UK driving licence - essential.

Responsibilities

• Take full operational responsibility for the domiciliary and complex care service.
• Join and support an office team of 8 and lead a care workforce of 40+ carers.
• Ensure full CQC compliance, safeguarding, audits, and quality standards.
• Drive service growth towards ICB complex care contracts.
• Oversee care planning, documentation, and service performance.
• Manage on-call responsibilities on a shared rota with ~1 week per month across 4 managers.
• Support development of supported accommodation provision.
• Report on performance and drive continuous improvement.

Location: Bristol

Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 per annum (flexible for the right step-up candidate)

Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (9:00am - 5:00pm)

We are recruiting a Registered Manager to lead a large and growing care service in Bristol. The service currently delivers approximately 1,500 care hours per week, operating across domiciliary care, complex care, and supported accommodation. The organisation is actively growing its ICB complex care provision and is looking for an experienced, clinically minded manager who can lead a large team and drive service development.

Responsibilities

• Take full operational responsibility for the domiciliary and complex care service
• Join and support an office team of 8 and lead a care workforce of 40+ carers
• Ensure full CQC compliance, safeguarding, audits, and quality standards
• Drive service growth towards ICB complex care contracts
• Oversee care planning, documentation, and service performance
• Manage on-call responsibilities on a shared telephone rota - approximately 1 week per month between 4 managers
• Support the development of supported accommodation provision
• Report on performance and drive continuous improvement

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Registered Manager or strong step-up candidate - essential
• Background in complex care, nursing, palliative care, mental health, or domiciliary care
• Experience across a range of service types including LD, mental health, and complex needs
• Residential or other care backgrounds considered
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (attained or working towards)
• Full UK driving licence - essential
• Clinically confident, commercially aware, and able to lead a large operation
