Headway Adolescent Resources in Bristol is seeking a committed Registered Manager for a 3-bed children’s home. You will lead the home, ensure high-quality care, and maintain a safe, supportive environment for children and young people.

The role requires safeguarding expertise, regulatory knowledge, and strong leadership. In return you receive a competitive salary of £46,202.89–£53,402.89 per year, a 40-hour week, car allowance, on-call pay, pension, and generous leave.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Children’s Homes legislation and Ofsted inspection requirements.
• Understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection.
• Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or willingness to complete.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage a 3-bed children’s home in Bristol, ensuring high-quality, individualised care.
• Be accountable for the safe, effective and efficient running of the home, including leadership, administration, compliance and wider operational responsibilities.
• Ensure care planning, reports, records and monitoring systems are completed to a high standard within required timescales.
• Lead, motivate, support and develop a staff team, promoting an open, reflective and enthusiastic culture.
• Ensure the home meets regulatory requirements, including Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted standards.
• Represent Headway Adolescent Resources professionally with external agencies, families and placing authorities.

An exceptional new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Registered Manager - Children's Home to manage a children's residential home based in Bristol. You will join a provider with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality care and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people

This is a fantastic care provider dedicated to supporting children and young people who have complex emotional and behavioural needs, providing a safe and supportive environment

As the Manager your key responsibilities include:

• Lead and manage a 3-bed children's home in Bristol, ensuring that children receive high-quality, individualised care and support
• Be accountable for the safe, effective and efficient running of the home, including leadership, administration, compliance and wider operational responsibilities
• Ensure care planning, reports, records and monitoring systems are completed to a high standard and within required timescales
• Lead, motivate, support and develop a committed staff team, promoting an open, reflective and enthusiastic culture
• Ensure the home meets regulatory requirements, including Children's Homes Regulations, safeguarding expectations and Ofsted inspection standards
• Represent Headway Adolescent Resources professionally with external agencies, families, placing authorities and the local community

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• A thorough knowledge of Children's Homes legislation, Ofsted inspection requirements, child protection and safeguarding procedures
• A Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce, or equivalent
• Either have attained a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or be willing to complete this
• A minimum of two years' experience within the last five years in a role relevant to the residential care of children
• At least one year's experience supervising and managing staff working in a care role
• A full manual driving licence, access to your own car, business insurance, and the ability to undertake on-call duties, currently averaging around two on-call duties per month

The successful Manager will receive an excellent salary of £46,202.89 - £53,402.89 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 40 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:

• £2,000 car allowance
• Occupancy bonus: £175 per child after the first child. For example, a 3-bed home may attract two payments of £175, equating to £350 per month
• Ofsted performance bonuses: £500 for a Good report and £1,000 for an Outstanding report
• On-call payments: £10 per day Monday to Friday and £50 per day on Saturday and Sunday
• 22 days' annual leave, plus bank holidays
• Non-contributory pension with a 9% employer contribution
• Company sick pay after successful completion of probation
• Enhanced sick pay of five days' full sick pay
• Ongoing support, training and development to help you lead the home effectively and continue your professional development
