Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Registered Service Manager to oversee supported accommodation in Bristol and Winchester. You will ensure Ofsted compliance, deliver high-quality care, safeguard young people, and lead a dedicated team to sustain excellent practice.

The role requires a Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification (children/youth), 3+ years in residential child care, and a full UK driving licence. An enhanced DBS check is expected or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care (Children and Young People’s setting) or willingness to work towards this.
• At least 3 years' experience within a residential child care setting.
• Proven experience as Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, or Senior Manager within supported accommodation or residential care for children and young people.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Holding registration with Ofsted as the Registered Manager for the service.
• Leading, managing, and developing a team of support workers to maintain high standards of practice.
• Ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations, quality standards, and relevant legislation.
• Overseeing care and support planning, safeguarding, and risk management for young people.
• Managing staff rotas, recruitment, supervision, appraisals, and training programmes.
• Building strong relationships with local authorities, external agencies, and stakeholders.
• Managing budgets and resources effectively within the service.
• Driving continuous improvement and leading preparations for Ofsted inspections.
• Participating in an on-call rota to support the service as needed.
