About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Registered Manager to lead a newly developed children's residential home in Slough . This home will support young people aged 8 to 17 with Emotional and Behavioral Difficulties (EBD) and associated complex needs.

This role is ideal for experienced Managers or ambitious Assistant Managers ready to progress into a senior leadership position. You will be supported by an experienced Responsible Individual through registration and operational setup.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of a four-bed residential children's home
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015
  • Develop, monitor, and review individual care plans tailored to each young persons needs
  • Recruit, train, and manage a dedicated staff team
  • Foster effective relationships with families, local authorities, and external professionals
  • Conduct internal audits and quality assurance checks
  • Maintain accurate records of care, staff performance, and operational procedures
  • Oversee the Ofsted registration and inspection process
What Were Looking For
  • Experience as a Registered Manager or Assistant Manager in a children's residential setting
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted standards and children's home regulations
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities
  • A passion for delivering outstanding care and achieving positive outcomes
  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or working towards)
