Domus is working with a highly reputable national provider of adult Learning Disability care and support, looking for a Registered Manager to lead an Outstanding CQC‑rated Residential service in Bridlington, East Yorkshire. The service supports Adults with Prada‑Willi Syndrome, Learning Disabilities, and Autism.
We are looking for an established Registered Manager but welcome applications from Supported Living Service Managers aspiring to become a CQC Registered Manager. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and direct the teams in person‑centred planning and support, ensuring tailored support plans are completed, reviewed and continuously developed to meet individual needs, wishes and outcomes.
- Ensure teams actively support and promote the health and well‑being of people we support, reporting any changes in health, behavioural, emotional, psychological or mental health needs to relevant professionals and seeking support if necessary.
- Lead and direct teams to facilitate and empower the independence of people we support.
- Take an active role in the development and growth of the organisation, supporting business development objectives and KPIs in line with the organisational strategic aims.
- Maintain good local market knowledge of Bridlington, East Yorkshire to maximise opportunities for people supported and keep the organisation aware of external changes affecting the service’s market position.
- Be responsible for quality management and auditing of service delivery, maintaining accurate internal and external quality assurance records and completing required improvement actions.
- Ensure effective financial planning and budgetary control for the service, liaising as appropriate with the Operations and Development Manager and the Finance Department.
Registered Manager Requirements
- Previous management experience in a Learning Disability service.
- Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification (minimum essential requirement).
- Level 5 Health and Social Care qualification or willingness to complete the qualification within a designated time frame.
- Good knowledge and practical implementation of CQC regulations.
- Ability to recognise, challenge and remedy bad practice.
- Experience of working at a supervisory level in a care/support setting within the last three years.
- Ability to set and work to deadlines.
- Excellent people management skills.
- Management skills to maintain the service to a high standard.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and internet).
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
