Job summary

Domus Recruitment seeks an experienced Registered Manager to lead a turnaround of a domiciliary care service in Aylesbury, progressing from Requires Improvement to Good. You’ll inherit a stable team and operate with the Director's autonomy to strengthen governance, care planning, risk assessment and staff competency checks.

For the first three months, you won’t be required to register with the CQC. The role offers a competitive salary and generous leave, with opportunities to expand private-pay

Qualifications

• Experience in care management with a minimum of 2–3 years.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations governance, compliance and quality assurance.
• Level 5 Leadership in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead turnaround of a CQC-registered domiciliary service to Good.
• Drive governance, auditing, care planning, risk assessments and competency checks.
• Mentor and support office and care teams; promote a positive culture.
• Develop relationships with private clients, families, two Local Authorities and the ICB.
• Engage with commissioners to grow referrals and private-pay business.
• Champion excellent customer service and protect the branch's reputation.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a turnaround project from “Requires Improvement” to “Good” within an established domiciliary care service in Aylesbury.

You'll inherit a committed and stable team, including a Care Coordinator who has been with the branch for 3 years. The Director will give you the autonomy to implement your own ideas and strengthen the service's auditing, care planning, risk assessment and competency processes.

Better still, you won't be expected to take on CQC registration for your first three months.

What's on offer

• £45,000 per annum.
• Salary review to £50,000 within year one.
• 33 days annual leave (25 days + bank holidays).
• 1 additional day's annual leave for each year with the company.

Registered Manager Responsibilities

• Lead the turnaround of a CQC-registered domiciliary care service, delivering safe, person-centred and high-quality care.
• Drive improvements in governance, auditing, care planning, risk assessments and staff competency checks to achieve a Good CQC rating.
• Build, mentor and support a committed and experienced office and care team, creating a positive culture where people feel valued and accountable.
• Develop strong relationships with private clients, families, two Local Authorities and the ICB, providing regular updates on service improvements and maintaining confidence in the branch.
• Work proactively with commissioners to increase referral activity while continuing to grow the private-pay client base.
• Champion excellent customer service and maintain the company's reputation as a trusted provider within the local community.

Registered Manager Requirements

• Applicants must have the unrestricted right to work in the UK.
• A minimum of 2-3 years' experience working within a care management role.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations governance, compliance and quality assurance.
• Must hold a Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
