Registered Home Manager - Newcastle-upon-Tyne

Location: Newcastle-upon-Tyne

Salary: Competitive + Attractive Bonus

Working Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday

Job Type: Permanent

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Home Manager to lead our nursing and residential home. As Home Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained while achieving business results. You will create an environment that promotes dignity, independence, and excellence in care.

This is a senior role where you will be supported by a wider team including Directors, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, PBS practitioners, Therapy assistants, and the Quality Assurance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring excellent care standards.
  • Lead and manage staff, ensuring they can perform their roles safely and effectively.
  • Manage budgets and contracts to ensure efficient and sustainable operations.
  • Make strategic decisions regarding the future direction and growth of the home.
  • Lead on specific projects or clinical areas, ensuring the highest quality outcomes.
  • Provide on-call support out of hours (shared responsibility).
  • Flexibility to cover nursing shortages as needed.

What You Need:

  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Strong English, numeracy, and digital skills.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to plan for the long-term success of the home.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • A caring, trustworthy nature with a passion for providing high-quality care.
  • Experience in managing complex care services and leading teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable personality.
  • Previous experience as a Home Manager or in a similar role.
