Job summary

CS UK Recruitment Ltd. seeks an experienced Home Manager for a modern nursing home in Newry, County Down. You will lead strategic care delivery, oversee governance, and work with regional leadership.

The role requires Nurse qualification with active NMC pin, and experience in a nursing home environment. Salary £60,000–£62,000 per year, paid monthly, with a range of generous benefits and a permanent, full-time on-day role.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified Nurse with an active NMC pin and experience managing a nursing home.
• Sound knowledge of statutory care requirements for the elderly.
• Strong leadership with ability to drive budgets and governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Home to deliver safe, effective and compassionate care.
• Ensure all records and documentation are accurate and compliant.
• Induct, train, motivate and support staff to perform at their best.
• Adhere to company standards and legal/regulatory requirements (fire, health & safety, licensing, weights & measures, trading standards).
• Ensure nurses hold current UK NMC pin and staff files meet RQIA standards.
• Collaborate with regional manager and director.

Job description

An amazing new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Home Manager to manage an exceptional nursing home based in the Newry, County Down area. You will be working for one Northern Ireland’s leading health care providers

This is a modern, purpose built care home setting which provides professional, person-centred care for older people, including those living with dementia

As the Home Manager your key responsibilities include:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Home, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care to the residents
• Ensure all records and documentation are accurate and up to date by maintaining and implementing appropriate systems to ensure compliance
• Build positive working relationships with support functions so staff are properly inducted, trained, motivated and supported to do their jobs to the best of their ability
• Adhere to company standards as well as legal and statutory requirements relating to fire regulations, health and safety, licensing, weights and measures, care and trading standards, and employment.
• Ensure all qualified Nurses hold a current UK NMC pin and employee files are in line with RQIA standards
• Work alongside regional manager and director

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Previous experience managing a nursing home setting is desirable, but not essential
• A sound working knowledge of the statutory requirements associated with care of elderly people
• A good understanding of budgets is desirable
• Understanding of the key business activities associated with a nursing home
• Be able to demonstrate strong leadership ability in a key, demanding role

The successful Home Manager will receive an excellent salary of £60,000 - £62,000 per annum - Pay frequency is monthly. This exciting position is a permanent full time working on days. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
