Job summary

Jupiter Recruitment is seeking an experienced Home Manager for a nursing home in the Cookstown area, Northern Ireland. You will lead a modern, person-centred care home, ensuring safe and compassionate care for residents, including those with dementia.

Qualified as a Nurse with an active NMC pin and prior nursing home management experience are required. The role offers a salary of £60,800 per annum and a comprehensive benefits package with CPD, pension, and parking.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Home, ensuring safe, effective and compassionate care.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with systems and regulations.
Develop staff through induction, training, motivation and support.
Adhere to company standards and legal requirements including fire, health & safety, licensing and trading standards.
Ensure nurses hold a current UK NMC pin and files align with RQIA standards.
Collaborate with regional manager and director.

Job description

An excellent new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Home Manager to manage an exceptional nursing home based in the Cookstown, Belfast area.You will be working for one Northern Ireland's leading health care providers

This is a modern, purpose built care home setting which provides professional, person-centred care for older people, including those living with dementia

As the Home Manager your key responsibilities include:

Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Home, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care to the residents
Ensure all records and documentation are accurate and up to date by maintaining and implementing appropriate systems to ensure compliance
Build positive working relationships with support functions so staff are properly inducted, trained, motivated and supported to do their jobs to the best of their ability
Adhere to company standards as well as legal and statutory requirements relating to fire regulations, health and safety, licensing, weights and measures, care and trading standards, and employment.
Ensure all qualified Nurses hold a current UK NMC pin and employee files are in line with RQIA standards
Work alongside regional manager and director

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

Previous experience managing a nursing home setting is desirable, but not essential
A sound working knowledge of the statutory requirements associated with care of elderly people
A good understanding of budgets is desirable
Understanding of the key business activities associated with a nursing home
Be able to demonstrate strong leadership ability in a key, demanding role
Strong communication skills
