Registered Children's Home Manager
Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 per year
We are supporting a brilliant client in the search for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to take the lead at their established two-bed children’s home in a lovely part of Derbyshire.
This company genuinely does things differently. Founded in 2019 by two Directors from residential childcare backgrounds, they set out to build a service where staff feel genuinely valued and supported, with a focus on young people’s outcomes. Staff wellbeing and professional development are a real priority here, not just a slogan.
The home has been registered for three years, recently rated Good by Ofsted (September 2024), and is currently moving its registration to support young people with more complex mental health needs. You’ll be part of a very exciting transition, helping shape the service from early on. It’s a large, welcoming four-bed property, and the young people supported often come from secure units or hospital settings, sometimes under DoLS orders.
You’ll be leading by example, setting the tone for the team around you, and creating a stable, nurturing environment where both young people and staff can thrive. There’s a strong support network in place, including specialist mental health nurses and a senior leadership team who are hands-on and approachable.
