Job summary

Keystone Care seeks an experienced Registered Manager to lead a North London residential service, driving quality improvements and ensuring alignment with CQC standards. The role requires strong leadership, staff development, and safeguarding focus.

You will oversee budgets, governance, and service delivery, while maintaining person-centred care, dignity, and respect for residents in a permanent setting.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a residential care service.
• NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
• Proficient in CQC regulation and compliance.
• Strong understanding of current social care legislation and Care Standards Act 2000.
• Proven leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the residential service to improve CQC standards and ensure high quality care delivery.
• Oversee operational care and support systems for positive resident outcomes.
• Monitor, audit and review services and take corrective actions.
• Provide coaching and line management to deputy and floor managers.
• Organise training needs and deliver training as required.

• Lead the residential service to improve CQC standards and ensure high quality care delivery


• Ensure effective operation of care and support systems leading to positive outcomes for residents


• Monitor, audit and review services, taking appropriate corrective action where necessary


• Demonstrate high professional standards and leadership, supporting staff with support plans, risk assessments and documentation


• Coordinate resources to ensure effective service delivery and participate in development planning


• Build and maintain effective relationships with CQC, Local Authorities, and professional stakeholders


• Ensure person-centred approaches are used with emphasis on dignity and respect


• Oversee financial management including budget control, petty cash and service user monies


• Line manage deputy, floor managers and other key staff, providing coaching and mentoring


• Assess training needs, review completion data, and organise or deliver training as required


• Lead formal processes including disciplinary hearings, appeals, and grievances in line with protocols


• Maintain focus on safeguarding, health and safety, and infection control standards
