Job summary

Keystone Care in North London is seeking an experienced Extra Care Registered Manager to lead a brand-new scheme, embedding high-quality care standards and a person-centred approach.

You will oversee a large on-site team, ensure CQC compliance, manage budgets, drive occupancy, and build partnerships with Local Authorities and housing partners to deliver outstanding care and community living.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a management role within Extra Care, Supported Living, or Residential Care.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and quality frameworks.
• NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care or commitment to complete.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operational management of a large Extra Care scheme
• Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and maintain quality standards
• Oversee care delivery for residents with diverse needs, including older people, dementia, physical disabilities, and learning disabilities
• Manage and develop on-site care team, ensuring safe staffing and rosters
• Build relationships with Local Authorities, commissioning teams, housing partners and external stakeholders
• Drive occupancy levels and support smooth referrals and assessments
• Monitor KPIs, quality audits, care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding
• Embed person-centred care promoting independence and community integration
• Lead recruitment, supervision, appraisals, disciplinary processes, and team development
• Manage budgets and contribute to service performance
• Prepare for and lead CQC inspections, keeping the service inspection-ready

• Lead the day-to-day operational management of a large Extra Care scheme
• Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and maintain excellent quality standards
• Oversee care delivery for residents with a range of assessed needs including older people, dementia, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and learning disabilities
• Manage and develop a large on-site care team, ensuring safe staffing levels and effective rota management
• Build strong relationships with Local Authorities, commissioning teams, housing partners, and external stakeholders
• Drive occupancy levels and support smooth referral and assessment processes
• Monitor KPIs, quality audits, care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures
• Embed person-centred care practices that promote independence and community integration
• Support the management of short-term and step-down placements within the scheme
• Lead recruitment, supervision, appraisals, disciplinary processes, and team development
• Manage budgets and contribute to the overall commercial performance of the service
• Prepare for and lead CQC inspections, ensuring the service is inspection-ready at all times

Required Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Registered Manager within Extra Care, Supported Living, or Residential Care (minimum 3 years in a management capacity)
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and quality frameworks
• NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or commitment to complete)
