Job summary

Northern is seeking a Train Presentation Performance Improvement Manager to lead regional teams, coach staff, and raise standards across the region. The role focuses on using data to drive practical improvements and sustained performance gains for Train Presentation operations.

You will manage facilitators, deliver training for new starters, and support onboarding for Team Leaders while ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient processes across day and night shifts, including occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in coaching, motivating and influencing people to improve performance.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the confidence to challenge when standards can be better.
• Good IT and communication skills, with the ability to turn information and data into practical improvements.

Responsibilities

• Coaching Train Presentation teams to improve performance and standards.
• Identify trends via inspections, audits and performance data and implement practical improvements.
• Support colleagues through performance improvement, training and development.
• Manage the regional Train Presentation Facilitator and deliver training for new starters.
• Support onboarding and development of new Team Leaders for effective performance.
• Ensure teams have the processes, technology, information and resources to perform well.
• Support the Regional Manager with operational, people and performance matters.
• Act as SHEC Champion and maintain high safety and compliance standards.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes and apply learnings to prevent recurrences.
