Job summary

Northern is seeking a Train Presentation Performance Improvement Manager to raise standards and improve performance across the region. You’ll coach and develop teams, use performance data to identify improvements, and translate insights into practical changes that enhance customer experience on board.

This role has real regional influence, including onboarding, training and developing Team Leaders, ensuring safety, COSHH compliance, and efficient processes across day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching, motivating and influencing teams to improve performance.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills; able to challenge when standards can improve.
• Good IT and communication skills; translate data into practical improvements.
• Experience with risk assessments and COSHH requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coaching Train Presentation teams to improve performance and standards.
• Identify trends through inspections, audits and data; implement improvements.
• Support colleagues via performance improvement, training and development.
• Manage regional Train Presentation Facilitator; deliver training for new starters.
• Develop onboarding and training for new Team Leaders; build knowledge and skills.
• Ensure teams have processes, technology, information and resources to perform.
• Support Regional Manager on operational, people and performance matters.
• Act as SHEC Champion; maintain safety and compliance standards.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, prevent recurrence.
