Job summary

Domus Recruitment is seeking an experienced Regional Support Manager to take operational responsibility for multiple CQC‑regulated services supporting younger adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.   • 3-5 years' experience in multi-site management within health and social care.
  • Experience supporting younger adults aged 18-35 with learning disabilities, autism and/or complex needs.
  • Strong understanding of CQC regulations, the Health and Social Care Act and safeguarding requirements.
  • Experience managing recruitment, retention, performance and workforce planning.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all services meet and exceed CQC standards, local authority requirements and internal KPIs.
  • Lead regular compliance and quality audits, implementing robust action plans where required.
  • Act as a key escalation point for safeguarding concerns, ensuring incidents are appropriately reported, investigated and resolved.
  • Mentor, coach and develop House/Service Managers, promoting strong leadership and professional development.
  • Oversee regional recruitment, retention and workforce planning, ensuring safe staffing levels and minimising agency reliance.
  • Support managers with supervisions, appraisals, performance management and disciplinary processes.
  • Manage regional budgets and operational expenditure, ensuring resources are used effectively without compromising quality.
  • Work closely with local authorities, social work teams and commissioners to manage referrals, transitions and occupancy.
  • Ensure support plans are personalised and outcome-focused, promoting independence, education, employment and community integration.
  • Develop strong working relationships with families, advocates, healthcare professionals and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities for service development across the region.

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced health and social care professional to take operational responsibility for multiple CQC supported living and residential services that support younger adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.

The successful candidate will provide strong leadership and operational oversight across the region, supporting managers to deliver high-quality, person-centred care while maintaining excellent regulatory and quality standards.

The Role:

As Regional Support Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring services operate safely, effectively and in line with CQC requirements, local authority expectations and internal quality standards.

About You:

We are looking for an experienced health and social care leader with a strong track record of managing multiple services and developing high-performing teams.

You will ideally have:
  • 3-5 years' experience in multi-site management within health and social care.
  • Proven experience managing supported living and/or residential services.
  • Experience supporting younger adults aged 18-35 with learning disabilities, autism and/or complex needs.
  • A strong understanding of CQC regulations, the Health and Social Care Act and safeguarding requirements.
  • Experience managing recruitment, retention, performance and workforce planning.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance, compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Experience working with local authorities, commissioners, social workers and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
  • NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care, or equivalent, is desirable. Candidates willing to work towards the qualification will also be considered.
