Job summary

Platinum Recruitment Consultancy is seeking a proactive Area Sales Manager in Spalding, Lincolnshire. You will manage your own territory, promote leading brands in plant machinery, and develop relationships with customers to drive growth and profitability.

The role offers a base salary of up to £36,000 with commission and bonus opportunities, plus a company car for visits and territory management. A strong customer-service mindset and industry knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Sales experience in a field-sales role with a track record of meeting targets.
• Ability to build and manage long-term customer relationships.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Good organisation and administrative skills for territory planning.

Responsibilities

• Balance account management with new business development.
• Promote plant machinery and leading brands across the territory.
• Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
• Identify new opportunities through networking and cold calling.
• Manage accounts, upsell opportunities and close deals.
• Provide product advice and demonstrations when required.
• Deliver excellent customer service and build partnerships.
• Plan visits and maintain accurate sales administration.
