Key Responsibilities

• This is a varied, customer-facing sales role where you'll balance account management with new business development.
• Promote plant machinery and leading brands across your designated territory
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
• Identify new sales opportunities through networking, prospecting and cold calling
• Manage customer accounts, identify upselling opportunities and close deals
• Provide expert product advice and demonstrate equipment when required
• Deliver excellent customer service and build long-term partnerships
• Plan customer visits efficiently and maintain accurate sales administration
• Work towards sales targets while contributing to the wider branch's growth

What we're looking for

• You’ll be a confident, commercially minded salesperson who understands the importance of customer service, product knowledge and building lasting relationships.
• Proven sales experience, ideally within construction, agricultural equipment or plant machinery
• Strong industry knowledge and an understanding of machinery
• A track record of winning new business, developing accounts and achieving sales targets
• Confident communication, negotiation and influencing skills
• Good organisational and administrative skills, including Microsoft Excel
• Comfortable planning customer visits and managing your own territory
• Self-motivated, reliable and able to work independently as part of a team
• A professional approach, with a strong commitment to customer service and health and safety
• A full, valid UK driving licence
