Job summary

Kara Healthcare is seeking an experienced Regional Manager to lead and support our care services across multiple homes in the region.

You will work with Home Managers and the senior leadership team to ensure high standards of care, strong performance, and a positive experience for residents and families. The role combines leadership, governance, and strategic development within a thriving care organisation.

You'll build strong relationships with our teams, support managers, solve problems, and make sure our homes have the support they need to succeed.

What You'll Be Doing

As Regional Manager, you'll have responsibility for supporting and overseeing our care services.

You'll work closely with Home Managers and senior leaders to make sure our homes are well-run, compliant, financially sustainable, and delivering high-quality care.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing leadership, guidance, and support to Home Managers.
• Building strong and positive relationships with Home Managers, residents, families, and colleagues.
• Supporting homes to consistently deliver high standards of care and service.
• Monitoring performance and identifying areas for improvement.
• Supporting homes through inspections, audits, and regulatory processes.
• Ensuring compliance with CQC requirements, company policies, and relevant legislation.
• Supporting managers with action plans and driving improvements where required.
• Identifying challenges early and working with managers to find practical solutions.
• Coaching and developing Home Managers to help them reach their full potential.
• Supporting recruitment, retention, and development of strong management teams.
• Monitoring occupancy, staffing, agency usage, budgets, and overall financial performance.
• Working with managers to improve occupancy and the overall performance of each home.
• Supporting new Home Managers and helping them settle into their roles.
• Sharing best practice between homes and encouraging teams to learn from one another.
• Maintaining a visible and supportive presence across our services.
• Working closely with the senior leadership team on wider business initiatives and projects.
• Supporting the opening, development, or turnaround of services where required.
• Ensuring residents remain at the heart of every decision.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced care professional who knows what good leadership looks like and isn't afraid to roll their sleeves up and get involved.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience in a Regional Manager, Area Manager, Operations Manager, or senior care management role.
• Strong experience within adult social care.
• A good understanding of CQC regulations and care quality standards.
• Experience supporting and developing Home Managers.
• A proven ability to improve services and drive positive change.
• Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of occupancy, budgets, and financial performance.
• Excellent leadership and people-management skills.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• The confidence to make decisions and deal with challenging situations.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach.
• The ability to work independently while also being part of a wider leadership team.
• Relevant Health and Social Care qualifications.

Experience managing multiple care homes or working across a multi-site care organisation would be highly advantageous.
