Job summary

Aviva is seeking a Regional Major Loss Manager in the United Kingdom to lead a team of Major Loss Field Adjusters handling domestic property claims from £50,000 to £250,000.

You will oversee all operational and technical elements, driving quality, cost control, and customer service while coaching and developing your team across the region. Collaboration with Claims colleagues will shape future ways of working.

Qualifications

• Experience in a managerial role leading a team within a specialist claims area.
• Experience handling complex property claims, ideally including losses exceeding £100,000.
• Strong understanding of building practices and regulations linked to reinstatement work.
• Ability to plan, prioritise, multi‑task, and deliver within agreed timeframes.
• Excellent communication skills, with proven experience coaching and mentoring others.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Major Loss Field Adjusters who manage domestic property claims ranging from £50,000 to £250,000.
• Oversee all operational and technical elements, driving high standards in quality, estimating, cost control, and customer service.
• Build capability across the region by coaching, developing, and supporting your team.
• Work with colleagues across Claims to improve processes, share insight, and help shape future ways of working.
