Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a Regional Bank Chef to support our homes across Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, and Norfolk. The role involves traveling to multiple sites to lead and supervise kitchen staff, plan nutritionally balanced meals, and manage stock within budget.

You will ensure adherence to food safety standards and dietary requirements while maintaining high-quality service and resident satisfaction across the region.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of culinary experience in a busy kitchen.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and COSHH.
• Trained in IDDSI / textured modified diets.
• NVQ 3 in Food Production or equivalent/City and Guilds 706-1 706-2 qualifications.
• Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate leadership qualities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritionally balanced menu plans for approval by Home Manager.
• Account for dietary needs and retain inspection records.
• Place food orders with approved suppliers within budget.
• Supervise and direct kitchen staff and Host team; train unqualified staff.
• Ensure highest hygiene standards via Avery Food Safety Management system.
