Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is a leading UK provider of luxury elderly care homes, dedicated to meaningful lives for residents and empowering our teams. We are seeking a Regional Bank Chef to support daily culinary operations across the Hertfordshire region, travelling between homes to guide a culinary team and provide nutritionally balanced, budget-conscious meals.

You will supervise kitchen staff, manage orders, and ensure strict hygiene and food safety standards, while maintaining team leadership

Qualifications

• Experience managing a busy kitchen and at least 5 years of culinary work.
• Knowledge of health and safety, food safety laws, COSHH, and maintaining high hygiene standards.
• NVQ3 in Food Production or equivalent; IDDSI/textured modified diets training.
• Team player with leadership abilities and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritionally balanced menu plans for approval, considering dietary needs and records.
• Place food orders with approved suppliers within budget and stock controls.
• Supervise kitchen staff and host team; train unqualified staff in basic food prep.
• Adhere to Avery Food Safety Management system and high hygiene standards.
