Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a Regional Bank Chef to support our Hampshire homes. You will lead a culinary team, plan nutritionally balanced menus, and manage budgets while delivering high-quality meals for residents across the region.

Travel between homes is required as part of the role; you will ensure food safety, supervise staff, and maintain excellent standards in a supportive, caring environment that values compassion and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of culinary experience in a busy kitchen.
• Knowledge of health and safety, current food safety legislation, and COSHH.
• NVQ 3 in Food Production or equivalent; City & Guilds 706-1/706-2; IDDSI training for textured modified diets.
• Ability to lead and supervise kitchen staff.
• DBS disclosure check is required.
• Experience placing food orders with approved suppliers within budget.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritionally balanced menu plans for Home Manager approval.
• Place food orders with approved suppliers within budget.
• Supervise and direct kitchen staff and Host team; train unqualified staff.
• Ensure hygiene and safety standards per Food Safety Management system.
• Travel to Avery homes across the Hampshire region.
