Job summary

Serco Limited is seeking a Regional Workshop Manager to lead maintenance workshops across our UK fleet operations. You will drive safety, compliance and performance to ensure vehicles remain reliable and available for essential services.

In this regional role covering the East and South East of England, you will shape workshop strategies, manage budgets, coach teams including apprentices, and collaborate with customers and suppliers to maximise service quality and minimise downtime.

Qualifications

• Qualified HGV technician with extensive fleet workshop management experience.
• Experience managing fleet maintenance teams and large vehicle fleets.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements in workshop environments.
• Proven ability to engage with customers, stakeholders and senior leaders.
• Strategic thinker with commercial awareness and hands-on problem solving.
• Experience leading change and delivering results through multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and management of maintenance workshops across UK fleet operations.
• Develop and implement workshop strategies and plans.
• Ensure compliance with maintenance, operational, legal, health and safety requirements.
• Manage performance via audits, KPIs and continuous improvement.
• Build relationships with customers, stakeholders and external providers to maximise service quality.
• Recruit, develop and support workshop colleagues including apprentices.
• Monitor budgets and drive cost efficiencies.
