Job summary

The Royal British Legion is recruiting a Field Engineer to join our Technology Operations team. The role is home-based with regular travel across the North of England and Scotland, delivering on-site and remote IT support to keep users productive and connected.

We offer 35 hours per week, a permanent full-time contract, and a salary of £30,790 to £32,411 per annum. You’ll engage with a broad range of technologies, including Microsoft 365, Windows, Intune and Active Directory, and travel

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting end-user technology and troubleshooting hardware, software and connectivity issues.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows, Intune and Active Directory.

Responsibilities

• Delivering technical support for devices, systems, networks and connectivity issues, resolving incidents and service requests efficiently.
• Building strong relationships with site users, acting as a trusted technology partner and providing clear, user-friendly guidance.
• Installing, maintaining and troubleshooting laptops, PCs, printers, mobile devices and other IT equipment.
• Supporting Wi‑Fi, networking and telephony services while working closely with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Visiting sites regularly to carry out proactive maintenance, address technical challenges and help drive service improvements.
