Job summary

NHS Blood and Transplant is seeking a Regional End User Technical Support Engineer to keep IT services running across multiple sites. You will install, configure, and support hardware, software, and clinical‑critical systems, providing both face‑to‑face and remote assistance to colleagues.

Working in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment, you will manage IT incidents, resolve issues within agreed service levels, and ensure systems remain secure, reliable, and fit for purpose.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-focused IT support environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 including Windows 7/10.
• Experience working to a Service Level Agreement (SLA).
• Experience and understanding of supporting Thin Client Citrix environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and support IT hardware, software and systems across NHSBT sites.
• Provide regional incident support for IT services and manage incidents under SLAs.
• Work face-to-face and remotely to understand and address IT needs and issues.
• Perform tasks essential to provisioning and maintaining IT systems.
• Provide technical expertise by participating in/expert groups, weekly reviews, and project meetings.
• Represent the Directorate at centre-based meetings and working groups.
