Location: Home-based in the EMEA region (Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, UK).
All candidates must be eligible to work in Europe. Please note, we do not offer relocation packages or visa support for this role.

We are seeking a Regional Chemicals Category Manager to join our European Specialties Procurement team. The candidate will manage regional and global direct chemical spend exceeding $80 million.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Manage $80MM+ in global and regional direct spend for chemical purchases.
  2. Develop and implement sourcing strategies in collaboration with our global team to achieve cost savings and operational efficiencies.
  3. Coordinate with R&D and manufacturing to manage portfolio changes for savings or innovation.
  4. Identify and execute cost-saving projects that meet or surpass company goals while ensuring support reliability.
  5. Support cross-functional teams on new product development and launch planning for chemical innovations.
  6. Monitor and manage supplier performance regarding service, quality, cost, and sustainability in partnership with Supply Chain.
  7. Assist manufacturing locations with material shortages, quality issues, savings initiatives, network analysis, and new product introductions.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Sciences; Master’s in Business or Sciences is a plus. Certified Purchasing Manager certification is a plus.
  2. 7+ years of experience in procurement, Supply Chain, or Product Management.
  3. Experience with strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management.
  4. Knowledge of chemistry and the chemical market preferred.
  5. Strong time management, analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Proficiency with SAP.
  7. Excellent English communication skills.
  8. Ability to lead projects and teams effectively.
  9. Remote work in Europe.
