Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in managing a busy kitchen and leading a culinary team.
• Knowledge of health and safety and current food safety legislation.
• NVQ 3 in Food Production or equivalent/City and Guilds 706-1 706-2.
• Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate leadership.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritionally balanced menu plans for approval by the Home Manager.
• Place food orders with approved suppliers within budget limits.
• Supervise kitchen staff and instruct unqualified staff in food preparation.
• Ensure food safety and hygiene according to Avery standards.
