Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a Regional Bank Chef to support our culinary operations across the North East and Yorkshire. You will lead a kitchen team, prepare nutritionally balanced meals for residents, and travel between homes to ensure consistency and quality.

The ideal candidate has at least five years in busy kitchens, strong health and safety knowledge, and proven leadership. DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK are required, reflecting our commitment to safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a busy kitchen and at least 5 years culinary experience.
• Knowledge of health and safety, COSHH and 5-star hygiene standards.
• NVQ 3 in Food Production or City & Guilds qualifications as listed.
• Ability to work in a team and demonstrate leadership.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritionally balanced menu plans for Home Manager approval, providing varied meals and recording for inspections.
• Place food orders with approved suppliers within budget limits and maintain stock levels.
• Supervise and direct the work of kitchen staff and Host team; train unqualified staff.
• Demonstrate the Avery Food Safety Management system and uphold high hygiene standards.
