Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking an Operational Trainer to deliver induction and development training across our regional care homes and independent hospitals.

Based from home with travel within the region, you will support staff from day one and help ensure our person-centred, compassionate care meets our high standards. This role offers variety and the chance to grow professionally within the Barchester family.

Qualifications

• C&G 7300 or equivalent qualification.
• Diploma level 3 in Health & Social Care or experience in social care sector.
• Understanding of legislative requirements in the care sector.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver induction and development training against Barchester objectives and training statistics.
• Provide practical, hands-on training across a variety of subjects.
• Plan and publish training calendars and keep employee training files up to date.
• Observe workplace practice and coordinate induction paperwork with a buddy for new staff.
• Maintain regular contact with new team members, coaching and supporting where appropriate.
• Attend external meetings and conferences as required and promote learning opportunities.
• Collaborate with Home Managers to implement individual personal development plans.
