Job summary

Barchester Healthcare Limited is seeking an Operational Trainer to deliver induction and development training across a regional portfolio, including Wokingham, Reading, and Bracknell. This home-based role requires travel within the region and a focus on person-centred care and staff development.

You will coordinate training calendars, maintain training records, and mentor new staff, ensuring adherence to Barchester standards.

Qualifications

• Must have C&G 7300 or equivalent.
• Diploma level 3 in Health & Social Care or experience in social care.
• Working knowledge of legislative requirements in care sector.
• 2 years training experience required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver induction and development training across the region.
• Provide practical, hands-on training across subjects.
• Plan and publish training calendars.
• Ensure employee training files are up to date.
• Observe workplace practice and provide feedback.
• Arrange induction paperwork and buddy system for new staff.
• Maintain regular contact with new team members and coach as needed.
• Attend external meetings and conferences when required.
