Regional Business Development Manager, UK & Europe

Overview
A rapidly growing life sciences consultancy is seeking a self-motivated Regional Business Development Manager to expand its presence in the UK and European markets. The role focuses on developing new client relationships, generating sales opportunities, and driving growth in product development and regulatory strategy services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and grow the customer base.
  • Establish and maintain strong senior-level client relationships, acting as the main point of contact.
  • Identify client needs, prepare tailored proposals, and negotiate contracts/SOWs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on planning, reporting, and delivery.
  • Manage existing client accounts while expanding into new target accounts.
  • Travel (~50% of the time) across the UK and Europe for client visits and conferences.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Pharma, Biotech, Consulting, CRO, or CDMO sectors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Engineering; additional business/marketing qualification is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic product development and the role of regulatory strategy.
  • Proven track record in business development: lead generation, client scoping, and closing deals.
  • Skilled in relationship building, negotiation, and managing multiple accounts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, and CRM systems.
