Your Job

We are seeking a Regional Business Development Manager responsible for growing our industry-leading glass mat faced gypsum panels for flat roofing systems in the territory. The ideal candidate must be well-versed in the commercial construction and building materials industry. The successful candidate will have a proven record of developing and executing commercial strategies, as well as identifying, cultivating, and maintaining profitable business relationships with key influencers, including system manufacturers, architects/engineers, roofing contractors, and main contractors. Collaboration across various capabilities in a matrixed organization is fundamental to success in this role. This role reports to the International Business Director. 50%-75% travel throughout UK & Ireland is required.

Our Team

Georgia-Pacific Gypsum is one of the largest plasterboard manufacturers in North America and the innovator of the leading roof protection board brand in North America. You will join the International Sales Team, responsible for profitably growing markets outside the US and Canada with our gypsum panel products. Growing the roof board category in Europe is a key growth opportunity for our broader gypsum division.

What You Will Do
  1. Pipeline Development: Build a strong project pipeline, ensure account planning, increase sales, and provide accurate sales forecasting. Leverage CRM tools to prioritize sales initiatives, identify key value drivers, track opportunities, and enhance internal collaboration for a superior customer experience.
  2. Key Influencer and Key Account Management: Identify and develop key influencer accounts aligned with business strategy to drive mutually beneficial outcomes. Use CRM to execute and track account management plans effectively.
  3. Sales Strategy and Territory Planning: Use market analysis and economic thinking to develop and execute sales strategies and territory plans. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and support.
  4. Market Analysis and Development: Define and update analyses related to market opportunities, competition, construction practices, regulations, barriers, and pricing to validate and adjust strategies.
  5. Technical Support: Provide technical support to waterproofing manufacturers, roofing contractors, and the design community, utilizing internal resources to meet customer needs while mitigating risks.

  • Experience in the commercial construction and building materials industry.
  • Well-connected within the construction value chain, including design community, main contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Fluent in English.
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Proven ability to collaborate globally and develop/executed commercial strategies.
  • Technical understanding of flat roofing systems, including single ply and bitumen.
  • Experience navigating FM approvals system (RoofNav).
  • Knowledge of flat roofing codes, performance, and standards in the territory.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in management, engineering, building construction, architecture, or sciences.
  • Understanding of architectural sales and construction processes.
  • Experience with building enclosures or exterior construction.
