Business Development Manager - Debt & Finance (remote working)

Overview

Our client is part of a national finance and debt management business with offices across the UK. This role is 100% remote, requiring the candidate to manage their workload independently while maintaining close contact with their office-based teams.

  • White label credit management outsourcing
  • Office-based debt collection
  • Field visit collection and debt counselling
  • Legal action services via an in-house legal team licensed by the SRA
  • Trace services

The company targets large businesses with a turnover exceeding £30 million annually, although they are not limited to this segment. They are experiencing growth with annual increases exceeding 30% over the past three years.

The Role

The successful candidate will initially be responsible solely for their own revenue generation, with no staff management duties. Candidates must have at least 3 years of sales experience and be able to provide proof of income generated.

A clean UK driving license is required as travel across the UK will be involved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cold call leads via CRM to generate new prospects and appointments
  • Engage with accountants, insolvency practitioners, etc., to leverage relationships for introductions
  • Attend meetings, assess opportunities, and propose tailored services
  • Follow up with proposals outlining benefits and charges
  • Participate in setup meetings to align services with client needs
  • Conduct review meetings to assess performance and identify opportunities
  • Achieve set appointment and revenue targets
  • Attend monthly performance review meetings
Compensation and Benefits

The package includes:

  • Basic salary up to £65,000, dependent on experience
  • Uncapped commission with potential earnings over £100,000 annually
  • Commission of 10% on revenue in the first year of a client, 5% in the second year
  • Monthly car allowance based on candidate level

This is a full-time, permanent position. The successful candidate will need to undergo a DBS and CCJ check prior to employment.
