Job summary

National Highways seeks a Network Operations Manager to lead the 24/7 Regional Operations Centre in the Yorkshire North East region, delivering a high-quality, customer-focused service across the regional network.

You will provide leadership to ROC staff, drive performance and continuous improvement, and work with partners to deliver regional business plans while ensuring resilience and continuity for critical network operations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading ROC or 24/7 control room operations.
• Proven ability to manage KPI delivery and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience in resource planning, resilience and business continuity planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to Operations Managers, Team Managers and ROC Operators.
• Accountable for ROC performance, continuous improvement and people development.
• Contribute to regional business plan delivery as part of Service Delivery leadership.
• Manage resource planning, capacity, and business continuity for ROC.
• Lead incident response, crisis management and proactive network management.
• Maintain customer experience and safety-focused decision making.
