Zusammenfassung

Change Grow Live in Newham is seeking a Recovery Worker to assess and engage service users, ensuring access to the right intervention at the right time within a multidisciplinary team.

You will support service users from entry through treatment and recovery, carry out screening and recovery planning, and promote involvement of carers and the wider community. Excellent communication and IT skills are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience in a similar field.
• Experience working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with good IT skills.

Aufgaben

• Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey.
• Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral.
• Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community.
• Promoting carer, service user and community involvement.
• Providing advocacy for access to partnership services.
• Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful lives.
• Deliver structured content within group settings to service users at various stages of recovery.
• Engage with debriefing and evaluations with co-facilitators after groups/pods.
• Tailor workshops around the needs of service users (e.g., anger management, sleep disorders, relationships).
