Job summary

Change Grow Live in Walsall is seeking a Recovery Coordinator to assess and engage service users, enabling access to the right interventions. You will work within the duty team at The Beacon, Walsall, 37.5 hours per week, focusing on coordinating recovery pathways and facilitating group sessions.

The role requires strong understanding of substance misuse, experience with groups, excellent communication, and the ability to work autonomously with solid time management.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of substance misuse issues.
• Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive, with good time management and prioritising abilities.
• Knowledge of mental health interventions and safeguarding practices.

Responsibilities

• Supporting service users from entry through recovery journey.
• Screening, assessment, recovery planning and onward referral.
• Reducing drug and alcohol harm for service users and community.
• Promoting involvement of carers, service users and community.
• Advocacy for access to partnership services.
• Help service users with social reintegration and recovery goals.
• Prepare and tailor materials for groups/pods; deliver content.
• Debrief and evaluate with co-facilitators; review progress.
• Tailor workshops to service user needs (e.g., anger management, sleep disorders, relationships).
