Job summary

Change Grow Live in Wirral is seeking a Recovery Coordinator to join the Non-Opiate Team. You will assess service users, engage them with the right interventions, and contribute to a bespoke recovery plan.

The role focuses on psychosocial interventions, harm reduction, and working with social services and mental health teams to support sustained recovery. We offer a supportive environment with training, a contributory pension, 25 days annual leave pro rata (plus bank holidays), and flexible

Qualifications

• Desire to work with individuals with a history using non- opiate substances.
• Understanding harms caused by illicit substance misuse and barriers to engagement.
• Creative and innovative approach to motivating engagement with structured treatment.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in risk management for individuals with multiple disadvantages.
• Experience providing harm reduction advice and information.
• Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing, CBT, BSF and task-oriented tools.
• NVQ level 3 in Substance Misuse or willingness to work towards such.
• Ability to contribute towards service targets and data monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide bespoke psychosocial interventions for identified service users and engage them in appropriate treatment.
• Work within a non-opiate team addressing substance misuse, physical health, mental health, housing and wellbeing.
• Deliver 1:1 PSI interventions and co-facilitate group interventions with trauma-informed care.
• Collaborate with social services, mental health; partnership with Housing providers to reduce harm and support recovery.
• Produce bespoke service user support plans with the aim of sustained recovery.
• Engage Think Family initiatives to involve women service users in parenting programmes.
• Contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings with reports and updates.
• Participate in service development through user and Peer Mentor feedback.
