Job summary

Change Grow Live in Maidstone is seeking a Recovery Coordinator to assess and engage service users, ensuring access to the right interventions at the right time. You will work flexibly to support individuals through their treatment and recovery journey.

As part of a committed team, you will facilitate group sessions, deliver tailored workshops, and collaborate with partners to promote recovery, resilience and social reintegration.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience in a similar field.
• Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with good IT skills.
• Proactive with good time management and prioritising skills.
• Good working knowledge of mental health interventions and best practices.
• Ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage change prioritising service users' needs.
• Commitment to information governance and safeguarding.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to others' development.

Responsibilities

• Supporting service users from entry into the service through their treatment/recovery journey.
• Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral.
• Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community.
• Promoting carer, service user and community involvement.
• Providing advocacy for access to partnership services.
• Working with service users to support social reintegration and meaningful, purposeful lives.
• Research, design and prepare material for groups/pods.
• Deliver structured content within group settings to service users at various stages of recovery.
• Debriefing and evaluation with co-facilitators after groups/pods, reviewing progress and concerns.
• Tailor workshops to needs such as anger management, sleep disorders, relationships, etc.
