Job summary

Change Grow Live in Walsall is seeking a Recovery Coordinator to assess and engage with service users, ensuring access to the right intervention at the right time. You will work as part of the duty team at The Beacon, delivering group-based activities and coordinating recovery planning.

You will screen, assess, and plan recovery, promote involvement of carers and community, and provide advocacy for access to partnership services.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of substance misuse and experience in a similar field.
• Experience working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with good IT skills.
• Proactive with strong time management and prioritising abilities.
• Knowledge of mental health interventions, services and best practices.
• Able to work effectively in partnership with professionals and stakeholders.
• Capable of managing change with a focus on service users.
• Understanding information governance and safeguarding requirements.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to staff development.

Responsibilities

• Supporting service users from entry through their treatment/recovery journey.
• Screening, assessment, recovery planning and onward referral.
• Reduce drug and alcohol-related harm in the community.
• Promote carer, service user and community involvement.
• Advocate for access to partnership services.
• Work with service users to support social reintegration and recovery.
• Design, prepare and deliver groups/pods materials and sessions.
• Deliver structured content for service users at various recovery stages.
• Debrief with co-facilitators after sessions and review progress.
