Job summary

Change Grow Live in Nelson, Lancashire, is seeking a Recovery Coordinator to assess and engage with service users, ensuring access to the right interventions. You will work across the Pendle team and support people with drug/alcohol issues during recovery.

The role requires frontline experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage groups and partnerships. Benefits include generous leave, wellness hours, pension and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience in a similar field.
• Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with good IT skills.
• Proactive, able to work on own initiative with solid time management and prioritising skills.
• Knowledge of mental health interventions, services and good practice.

Responsibilities

• Support service users from entry into the service through their treatment/recovery journey.
• Provide screening, assessment, recovery planning and onward referral.
• Reduce drug and alcohol related harm to service users and wider community.
• Promote involvement of carers, service users and the community.
• Advocate for access to partnership services.
• Work with service users to support social reintegration and recovery.
