Job summary

Change Grow Live in Northamptonshire is seeking a Recovery Group Worker to lead evidence-based group interventions and support service users through their treatment and recovery journey. You will deliver group and pod sessions, adapt materials, and collaborate with facilitators to plan personalised recovery goals.

You will travel across Northamptonshire, be confident in group delivery, and participate in evaluations.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics.
• Experience of Motivational Interviewing and Psycho Social Interventions.
• Ability to identify the specific needs of groups.
• Understanding of evidence based interventions in a group work setting.
• Qualification in counselling, group-work or equivalent.
• Experience of working with psychological trauma.

Responsibilities

• Provide unwavering support to service users from their initial contact with our services through their treatment and recovery journey.
• Implement tailored interventions aimed at reducing harm from opiate use, through group sessions or one-on-one engagement.
• Facilitation of the Atlas programme.
• Ensure service users receive a comprehensive, recovery-focused plan, including pre-detox preparation and post-care support.
• Research, design and prepare subject matter and materials for groups/pods.
• Engage in debriefing and evaluations with co-facilitators after groups/pods.
• Lead graduation events for service users who have completed the programme.
• Review service user feedback and make adjustments as necessary.
• Tailor workshops around needs of service users, e.g., anger management, sleep disorders, relationships.
• Research and confirm community venues as needed
