Job summary

Change Grow Live in the United Kingdom is recruiting a Recovery Coordinator to assess and engage service users, ensuring access to appropriate interventions. You’ll work within the Drug and Alcohol Recovery Team at HMP Hull Prison, delivering tailored group programmes and one-to-one support to address substance misuse and support recovery.

You will build trusting relationships, promote engagement, and coordinate with a wide range of professionals to meet each user’s needs.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of substance misuse issues and related services.
• Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Support service users from entry through treatment/recovery.
• Provide screening, assessment, recovery planning and referrals.
• Reduce drug and alcohol-related harm for service users and community.
• Promote involvement of carers, service users and communities.
• Advocate for access to partnership services.
• Work with service users on social reintegration and recovery.
• Create, design and prepare materials for groups/pods.
• Deliver structured group content for users at different recovery stages.
• Debrief with co-facilitators after groups, reviewing progress.
• Tailor workshops to service user needs (e.g., anger management, sleep disorders).
