Job summary

Change Grow Live in Hull is seeking a Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinator to assess and engage with service users, ensuring access to the right interventions at the right time. You will work within the Criminal Justice Team to support people with drug and/or alcohol issues who have been involved with the criminal justice system.

Key responsibilities include screening, assessment, recovery planning, and liaising with police, probation, and courts.

Qualifications

• Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and/or experience in a similar field.
• Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills.
• Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management.
• Supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in partnership with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Supporting service users from entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey.
• Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral.
• Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and wider community.
• Promoting carer, service user and community involvement.
• Providing advocacy for access to partnership services.
• Motivational Interviewing.
• Children’s & adult safeguarding.
• Liaison and partnership working including police, probation, courts, prisons.
• Substance awareness.
• Help service users to social reintegration and recovery-minded independent living.
